Type of counselling
Introduction
From my own experience I know that finding the right therapist can be a challenge. It can be about clicking with the right person as much as about their experience or qualifications.
Building a safe and trusting relationship is the key to successful therapy and I believe that it needs to be flexible to meet the needs of each individual. Since qualifying I have worked as a therapist within the voluntary sector alongside clients of all ages, backgrounds and seeking therapy for a large range of issues. I’ve also continued to undertake training to explore more ways to make counselling as adaptable as possible to meet my clients need. This has included using and making images, writing and pop culture references alongside talking in therapy. I have also completed Cruse Bereavement Care training to work with adults, children and young people.
