I believe therapy can be a transformative experience. Whether you have recently been through a difficult or traumatic experience, are feeling lost, low, are struggling with negative self-image, or just feel it may be helpful to have a space to untangle your thoughts and develop a deeper understanding of yourself, I can hold a safe and non-judgemental space for you.
I have almost a decade of experience of working in the VAWG sector, with female survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, and have a deep understanding of the dynamics of emotional/physical abuse and coercive control.
I have also worked with female users of self-injury, and have undertaken training to work in a size-inclusive (HAES) manner with issues around body image.
Empowerment is an important element of the therapeutic journey for me, and I come from a feminist perspective in my work with clients.
The foundation of my counselling style is to offer non-judgemental empathy, to be led by you, the client, and to honour difference and diversity.
I understand that our social, cultural and economical backgrounds impact our life experiences and I believe in working in an inclusive and intersectional way.
