Type of counselling
Introduction
Hello, my name is Andy, I’m a counsellor & psychotherapist based in Finnieston, Glasgow and a Registered Member of BACP and COSCA.
I work with clients (aged 16+) in-person and online.
Working online means I’m able to help people across the UK & other parts of the world.
Both in-person and online therapy provides a safe, confidential and secure space which can help to vastly improve the quality of your life.
I know this because I’m in personal therapy myself. It makes me a more informed, empathetic therapist and has hugely improved the quality of my life and my relationship with others.
I believe the true mechanism of change is through the relationship & although I've extensive theoretical knowledge to assist me in the therapeutic process, it is the connection to my clients which is most vital.
At the end of the day we're two humans sitting together (online/in-person), with one sharing their thoughts, feelings & emotions.
You need to do that within a comfortable trusting therapeutic relationship which I aim to provide.
Change can take time but I don’t demand any long-term commitment from clients because there’s no recipe for living that fits all.
We're all unique as humans and everyone’s life journey is different. But at some point however, you will hopefully walk out the door a different person, closer to the version you want, and are meant, to be.
All sessions last one hour and cost £60 per session.
