This is a safe place for you to bring your whole self. A place where you will be met with compassion, empathy and acceptance. a place where you will be heard and valued for who you are and the unique life experiences you bring. Therapy is often the first towards building the life you wish to lead as you authentic self.
As human beings we all go through times of challenge. Life can be messy and complicated. This may be a situation that has unexpectedly arose, an ongoing difficulty or unresolved trauma. Counselling is an opportunity to explore these matters with a professional who can assist you to gain insights into what is happening for you and support you to find a way forward. Therapy supports you to identify and develop inner resources which can promote wellbeing, improve relationships and help you to gather a greater understanding of yourself.
My counselling practice is trauma informed. I work in a relational way with clients believing that the therapeutic relationship is at the core of positive therapeutic work. As your counsellor I will not tell you what to do but listen empathically to your concerns and experiences. The work we do together will be a collaboration to explore and empower you to find your own solutions and develop coping mechanisms that work for you.
I trained and qualified as an integrative counsellor which enables me to draw from a variety of therapeutic models to support our work together. I value each client as an individual with unique experiences, therefore the counselling I offer is tailored to you and your needs at this time.
I have worked in a variety of settings supporting neurodiverse individuals with a variety of mental health needs. In the last four years I have worked in a charitable setting providing counselling support for survivors of sexual violence.
I provide counselling both in person and remotely to adults from a range of diverse backgrounds and ages. I offer both time-limited, short and long term counselling. This enables us to work at a pace that suits you.
