Counselling is not about getting advice; instead, it provides the space to explore difficult events or impactful moments in your life, whether in the past, present, or in preparation for the future.
I will help you explore your experiences without judgement to achieve a better understanding of the difficulties that you are facing.
I have experience working with neurodiverse clients, including those with autism and other conditions that may present sensory challenges. I would adjust the environment as much as possible to make your session accessible. I enjoy working creatively, and we would be able to collaborate on how we may approach areas that you find difficult to verbalise. I am happy to discuss this with you and answer any questions you may have over email: CPCounselling@protonmail.com or in an initial appointment. Please don’t hesitate to contact me.
I have supported individuals with various challenges, including:
Anger management
Anxiety and Stress
Bereavement, Loss and Loneliness
Depression
Domestic Abuse, Rape, Sexual Assault, Childhood Abuse
Low Self-Esteem and Confidence Issues
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Self-Harm
Work Related Stress
I am LGBTQIA-friendly and can help you explore and process any concerns or fears you may have.
So please take a look around my website and feel free to get in contact if you would like to arrange a 30-minute consultation, book a session, or have a question to ask.
I have my own lived experience of self-harm, depression, and anxiety. I have had my own counselling at various times throughout my life so far, and the positive impact it has had on my own mental wellbeing has led me to train as a counsellor myself.
I bring my passion for care and mental wellbeing into my practice. Working holistically with my clients, I offer an integrative approach, tailoring the counselling to my clients individual needs and personal circumstances with no expectations for the client to fit a prescribed counselling mould.
I draw upon person-centred, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioural approaches within my practice.
I enjoy working creatively with my clients to find ways of expressing things that may be beyond words. These may be experiences that occurred in your childhood before you learned to speak; it may be that you have endured traumatic experiences that need a creative approach as words are too difficult for you; or you may just enjoy the experience of a more creative session. You may choose to use a sandtray to explore patterns of behaviour; crystals and stones to ground; mood and family cards to understand deeper connections to yourself and others; or you may even wish to create your own resources, as no one knows you better than you know yourself. I have had further training in other approaches, including inner child/parts of self, Gestalt, dream analysis, and intergenerational trauma.
Using all of the above, I offer a bespoke counselling service that is created with your individual needs in mind and with you at the heart of it. Together, we create a unique therapeutic relationship—a safe and positive space for us to work.
