I am a highly experienced, skilled and established counsellor. Alongside my private practice work, I am also employed part-time as a Lead Therapist for a Sexual Violence Charity. My previous work experience has included working for a statutory service in the NHS, Charities and various EAP's companies.
I offer my clients a safe, private, confidential and non-judgemental space to help process and explore any difficulties or issues you may have.
You will find that I am a very down to earth, warm and approachable person, who wants you to feel as comfortable as possible. I also want to reassure you that therapy is not always a deep, traumatic and tearful experience. There can also be laughter and joy. It is my job to look after you and make sure you get what you need out of our sessions. It is your choice and your journey!
Finding the right therapist for you is vital, the therapeutic relationship is very important. This is why I offer a free telephone/zoom consultation to answer your questions and to help elevate any anxieties you may have.
I provide therapy face to face, online and telephone. My therapy room is in a lovely, private building in a Conservation Area, 5mins from M6 and M58 motorways. There is secure onsite parking.
If you have any questions, or you would like to discuss anything that you cannot see on here, then please do not hesitate to contact me.
I work in a holistic, inclusive way and my core therapy is Person Centred. However, I also use CBT, Trauma Informed, Solution Focused Practice, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, Strength-Based, Humanistic approaches alongside this theory. I aim to tailor my approach to fit around the needs and wants of the client.
I would class myself as a pure integrative therapist. Which means I have trained and gained qualifications in several different therapies/theories - not a brief combined course.
My main specialisms are around trauma, ptsd and abuse. However, this is the umbrella term which covers all other aspects of work, including depression, anxiety, work related stress, relationship issues, self-harm, suicidal ideation, self-esteem & confidence, substance issues, coping skills, bereavement, eating disorders, LGBTQ, etc, etc.
Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss any other issues not listed above.
