Type of counselling
Introduction
Even the strongest among us can feel lost, unsure, ambivalent, or simply unhappy at times. As a qualified counselling professional, I can help you understand and navigate through what life throws at you, and how to do it successfully.
I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, and I practice Integrative Therapy with a strong influence of the Person-centred Approach. This approach is designed for putting you in control of your own healing process, it enables you to have full autonomy and empowers you in your own presenting issues. I introduce other modalities into therapy so that we can design a therapy session that is individual to your needs. The aim is for you to establish coping strategies and skills which help you to set your own boundaries and establish your future path in life. Counselling allows you to take control of your own actions, thoughts and feelings which lead you to becoming a more confident person enabling you to take control of your life.
Counselling sessions are set within a safe and confidential environment where you will never be judged and provides you with a space where you can start to address the underlying cause of your presenting issues. Often people just want someone to listen, provide them with confidentiality, and provide them support techniques that can be used when counselling has finished.
I offer Remote Online (Zoom/Teams) and Telephone counselling sessions. Face to face sessions are available.
I am a Registered Member 390880 of the professional body BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and I work within their ethical guidelines.
I am a Registered Member NCS23-01341 of the professional body of NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society)

Further Information
"When the other person is hurting, confused, troubled, anxious, alienated, terrified; or when he or she is doubtful of self-worth, uncertain as to identity—then understanding is called for. The gentle and sensitive companionship offered by an empathic person… provides illumination and healing. In such situations deep understanding is, I believe, the most precious gift one can give to another".
