People consider me compassionate, and sensitive to the needs of others, with a highly developed intuitive sense, and accompanying insight into presenting problems. I work patiently from your perspective, respect your confidentiality, and your right to be self governing, working collaboratively with you to achieve your desired goals.
How do I work?
As an MBACP registered Integrative Counsellor, Anxiety UK Approved Therapist, and GHSC accredited Clinical Hypnotherapist, I work utilising highly effective, brief strategic, evidence-based, and solution orientated interventions, that help with a broad spectrum of problems.
Moreover, the main idea behind integrative counselling is that you are unique, and what would work perfectly for you is not necessarily what would work for another person. As an integrative counsellor, I therefore work to make a program of therapy that suits your specific individual needs.
What is Integrative Counselling?
Integrative counselling looks at the whole person, taking into account your mental, physical and emotional needs. Your therapist will use techniques and tools from different modalities to tailor an individual approach for you.
An integrative counsellor aims to build a trusting and non-judgmental relationship that helps you develop self-awareness. When you understand the causes of your concerns or triggers for your behaviour, you can confidently set goals and develop new behaviours to improve your satisfaction with life (BACP, 2021).
What are the benefits?
Counselling can help you move forward in your life, by providing the time and a confidential space to work through any problems. It also helps you gain a different perspective on problems and issues by providing a safe, non-judgemental and respectful environment to talk openly in private. It can help you to regain your well-being and a stronger sense of balance in your life. Counselling frequently helps people to think more clearly and make better decisions for themselves. Through counselling, people report feeling more motivated, confident and assertive, with improvements in their personal and professional relationships. Counselling can also help you realise your true potential, help you identify ambitions and goals, in a way that’s right for you.
