I have worked and volunteered in a variety of settings, which have informed the work I do - these include working with autistic and disabled adults, working with families and children, working in community projects in areas of deprivation, volunteering in womens' projects which work with survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence, serving on the Board of a mental health Clubhouse and a community pantry as well as volunteering with a number of community organisations offering low and no cost counselling.
I have been practising as a person-centred counsellor since early 2017, initially alongside my postgraduate training and then as a fully qualified counsellor since late 2018. I took the decision to start my private practice in March 2020, just as the country was going into lockdown. I completed the Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling with Counselling Tutor and commenced working remotely with clients via telephone and Zoom. I also offer face to face therapy from my self-contained space at home.
